Terms of Service

1. The service

We provision and host game servers that you control through the Calagopus panel. Each server is reserved for a small recurring fee and then billed by the hour only while it is online, up to a fixed monthly cap for your tier. Hardware specifications for each tier are shown at checkout.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You must be at least 16, or the age of digital consent in your country, and able to enter a contract. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Billing — reservation, usage & caps

• Reservation. A recurring fee, charged in advance, that holds your server, its world data and its dedicated IP for the billing period.
• Hourly usage. While a server is online it draws from your prepaid credit balance at the per-hour rate for its tier, metered to the minute. Stopping the server stops usage billing.
• Monthly cap. Usage in a calendar month will never exceed the hard cap shown for your tier — leaving a server running cannot cost more than that cap plus the reservation.
• Credits. Top-ups are prepaid, non-transferable account credit used for usage billing. Taxes (e.g. EU VAT) are applied where required and shown before payment.

4. Payments & refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. Prepaid credit is generally non-refundable once added, except where required by law (for example, EU/UK distance-selling rights for unused balances). If you believe you were billed in error, contact us and we will investigate.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use a server to break the law, infringe others' rights, send spam, run attacks or proxies for abuse, mine cryptocurrency, or host content that is illegal where we operate. We may act on credible abuse reports. You are responsible for any game, mod or plugin licences your server requires.

6. Your content & backups

Your world and configuration data are yours. We take automated off-peak backups as a convenience, but you remain responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important. We may remove data for suspended or closed accounts after a reasonable grace period.

7. Suspension & termination

If your credit balance reaches zero, metered servers are paused until you top up. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that go unpaid. You can stop using the service and close your account at any time; reservations already charged are not pro-rated.

8. Availability

We aim for high availability and publish our uptime, but the service is provided "as is" without guarantee of uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance is scheduled off-peak where possible.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost game data you did not back up.
